The 4th international criminological and safety/security student conference on Local safety and security in local communities this year focuses on rural perspectives of safety and security in Montenegro and Slovenia and is held online on MS Teams.
The first student conference was organised in 2017, the second conference was organized in 2018 and the third conference was held in 2019. The fourth conference was planned for April 2020 but was postponed to April 2021 due to the covid-19 pandemics. The conference is held online due to the health hazard of the covid-19. We hope to meet in person in spring 2022 at the 5th student conference.
Masters’ and PhD students of the Faculty of Law, the University of Podgorica, Montenegro and Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security, the University of Maribor under supervision of professors Velimir Rakočević, Gorazd Meško & Katja Eman have studied local safety and security problems in rural settings of Montenegro and Slovenia. The results of their research in the academic year 2020/21 will be presented and discussed.
